Race around Norfolk 2026

Story

Stu and Danny take on the Race Across Norfolk against 11 other teams to raise money for Norfolk based charity -  Thrive Autism! We are grateful for any sponsorship you can spare and your support in our quest.....

Race Across Norfolk is an annual, two-day adventure challenge inspired by the TV show Race Across the World, organized by the Norwich Blackfriars Rotary Club in support of Thrive Autism.

How the Event Works

Teams travel across Norfolk navigating unexpected twists and checkpoints using only basic OS maps, basic mobile phones, and a limited budget of £50.

Event Dates: Takes place over 26-27th September with teams racing from Saturday morning to a finish line on Sunday afternoon.

The Cause: Funds raised directly support Thrive Autism, a local grassroots charity providing practical community help and working to build Norfolk's first dedicated, recreational Autism Centre for neurodivergent children and their families

Thrive Autism - Norwich Blackfriars Rotary

Founded in 2024 by Colin Lang MBE, Thrive Autism is a charity (registration pending) based in Norwich, Norfolk designed to support young neurodivergent individuals between the ages of 0 to 25, along with their family and caregivers.

Our mission is to establish a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive Autism Centre in Norfolk. This centre will feature a range of state-of-the-art facilities tailored to the needs of neurodiverse children and their families. These include a soft-play area, café, projection room, sensory room with cutting-edge equipment, therapy rooms, music therapy spaces, training rooms, an outdoor play area, sensory garden, and a birthday party room to name a few.

At Thrive Autism, we are deeply committed to creating a welcoming environment where young people can play, connect, and build friendships free from judgment or fear. We also strive to foster a supportive community where families and caregivers can share experiences, offer mutual guidance, and find a sense of belonging.

Norwich Blackfriars is based in Rotary in East Anglia and proud to part of Rotary International. A group of like-minded people would all share the aim to make a positive impact in their local community and the world around us. People of Action.
