Donation - Fire Engine for Ukraine

About

Aylsham & District Rotary Club has supported Ukrainian refugees since the start of the war, initially fundraising to provide those escaping Ukraine with transport, clothing and sleeping bags working with other Rotary clubs in Warsaw and Zamosch. As refugees arrived in Aylsham our Club helped to provide children with lap tops and school uniform. We also helped adults to acquire equipment to carry out their work as they gained work permits etc.

More recently, many refugees have returned to their families homes in Ukraine. As a result Aylsham & District Rotary Club has become a supporter of North Norfolk Aid for Ukraine (NNAfU) by raising funds to partially cover transport costs.

The NNAfU team have just arrived back from their latest trip to deliver medical aid and generators to Berlin for distribution in Ukraine. While in Berlin they had an hour to spare and were asked about the possibility of sourcing a fire engine! Amazingly, they have managed to find one on their first day back. However, together with transport costs, it will require £10,000 to get it to Berlin, who then transport it on to Ukraine.

If you know of this group of incredible volunteers you will already realise that they have been taking aid to Ukraine since the very start of the war.

With your help we are supporting NNAfU’s fundraising so please give generously.
